MrMartin is the stage name of Remco van der Schans. This born musician, sports fanatic and multi-entrepreneur is now putting all his energy into the next step in his musical career.

Early years

Remco has been playing guitar and singing since he was five years old. His much older brothers teach him how to play. They are musicians and producers and from the age of five Remco regularly participates in their gigs. Since the age of 12, his music has taken on more serious forms, and he has written numerous songs since then. At the age of twenty, Remco moves to England, where he works in a hotel and regularly provides a musical interlude at parties. His performances are popular and one evening he hears: ‘MrMartin has to play’. Since then, this has been his stage name with which he performs all over England.

Rascal

Back in the Netherlands, MrMartin founded Rascal in 2015, a pop-rock band that over the years has been quite successful with its own songs and covers in venues in the pop circuit and festivals. The corona pandemic causes a forced break, which MrMartin uses to write lots of material and to ponder over the future.

The outcome of the corona break: MrMartin goes solo in 2021. With hundreds of songs in his backpack, his flawless raw voice and his organizational talents – he is also a successful entrepreneur – MrMartin wants to introduce the general public to his music.
